Everything you need to get PaceKit set up and running on race day.
iPhone with iOS 17 or later. Apple Watch recommended for live heart rate.
Location (while using), HealthKit (heart rate, workouts), and Motion & Fitness.
Bring your own API key from Anthropic (Claude) or OpenAI (ChatGPT). Stored securely in Keychain.
Choose from 6 ElevenLabs voices (API key required) or 2 built-in system voices — free, no key needed.
Go to the setup screen and tap the AI section. Enter your Anthropic or OpenAI API key. PaceKit stores it securely in the iOS Keychain and sends race data directly to the provider using your key. We never see or store your key on our servers.
Yes. GPS tracking, pace, distance, splits, heart rate monitoring, live tracking for spectators, and music integration all work without an API key. The AI coaching voice is the only feature that requires one.
Before your race, PaceKit generates a shareable link. Anyone with the link can see your real-time GPS position, pace, heart rate, and mile splits on a map. They can also send cheers and messages that get read aloud through your AirPods.
None. PaceKit has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. Everything stays on your device. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Yes. PaceKit works alongside Spotify, Apple Music, or any audio app. When the AI coach speaks, your music ducks automatically and fades back in when it's done.
An Apple Watch is recommended for live heart rate monitoring, but not required. Without it, PaceKit still provides GPS tracking, pace, splits, AI coaching, and all other features.
Yes. PaceKit supports both half and full marathon distances. Select your race distance on the setup screen before starting.
Since PaceKit stores everything on-device only, deleting the app removes all data including API keys, preferences, and any cached race information. There is nothing stored on external servers to delete.
